CAS (Call Accounting System)

CAS (Call Accounting System) is windows-based software that can calculate the call cost based on pre-arranged parameters.

CAS is situated on the outside of the PBX and linked with the PBX through an RS232 or Ethernet port. It can work as
a server that keep all the CDRs (Call Detail Recording) data and allow some special client applications, such as Hotel CAS, to access its required information.

Outstanding Features

Expenditure Limit for Forced Account Code User

In an open-site office environment, every phones are limited to access some expensive outside calls. While the people use its Forced Account code, he could break the barrier and access those telephone calls. In the management point of view, the administrator could setup expenditure limit individually to let people (staffs or guest) freely use the phone while it is still under some sort of management. Since Gx system provides trunk to trunk access capability; it means a staff is traveling outside the office; he could make a cheap phone call to his office first and then access another outside line to make a long-distant or oversea call. By this feature, CAS will cut off the conversation when the call cost is over the expenditure limit. It not only provides a handy feature but also reduce the risk of fraud access.

Account Code Summary

Company could assign its different clients with different Account codes, when any staff is talking with its client, they could enter its account code for marking purpose. At the end of each month, company could summary those account information by CAS and bill its client with the detail report. It is particularly useful for legal, call center and other consulting business.

Real Time Cut Off

With the special proprietary of Gx series telephone system, CAS could cut off the conversation when its cost limit is over, not until the conversation is finished. We call it real-time cut off.

10 Carrier Rate Arrangements

Since different carriers offer different telephone rate for their promotion purpose; CAS will automatically calculate the phone cost by the unique carrier access code, so, CAS will encourage staff to choose the cheap carrier when making calls, in order to gain more available talk time.
